Why I'm here

You only really get to see the true problems with industries when you work within the belly of the beast. Prior to this I had spent my entire career working in the pharmacy department of insurance companies. 

I received my PharmD from the University of New Mexico and completed a residency in Managed care. The last 10 years have been spent in leadership positions developing and administering formularies, deciding what drugs are covered and under which conditions we would approve them.  This puts me in a unique position to help you. 

It is common knowledge that the prior authorization process is flawed.  I tried to be the change I wanted to see from inside the system, but it there was too much bureaucracy and too many different insurance companies for one person to make a change from the inside.
